Emma and I are home from work/daycare today because it is President's Day. We have had an enjoyable day...and it just seemed right to add some pictures to the blog. A lot has changed since we last posted and we want to fill you in!
1. Elliot accepted a full time job with the Air Force/National Guard Fire Department as a firefighter in mid-January and started his first shift in early February. His full time status (10-24 hour shifts each month) allows him to still work in his career field of Construction Management for 20-40 hours per week depending on how his shifts fall! It has been a positive change for our family.
2. Emma started a weekly pre-school class--KinderMusik. The program meets every Monday for 15 weeks for 45 minutes a night Emma (and mommy and/or daddy) get to play, sing and dance with her and 6 other 18month-3 year old children. We have been going for a few weeks and she absolutely loves it!
3. Lori has decided to become an independent representative of 'Signature Homestyles,' a home organization and decorating company. This 2nd job will be VERY part time and help pay for student loans---that are finally in repayment due to Master's graduation in December. :)
We continue to spend a lot of time in Crookston, at our favorite quilt/pottery shops-This is Sew Broadway and the Krazy Kiln, although with Elliot's new work schedule, it will be a little more difficult to get up there as often as we would like.
We are also looking forward to attending a few more of Grandpa David's basketball games in the coming weeks.
We hope all is well with you all!
