Fun at G-GMA & G-GPA Sluke's

Yesterday, Emma, Grandma Mary, and I went to visit G-gma and G-gpa in Fordville for the afternoon!

Emma gets her first purse!

No-this isn't acutally a purse that I bought for Emma but had to let her have it once I found it while cleaning out my room back home this weekend! I think she really likes it!

Watching Grandpa David at the Game

Emma went to watch Grandpa David ref a few basketball games this weekend! She didn't like all of the noise right away, but eventually got bored and fell asleep!

We had a fun weekend at Grandpa David and Grandma Mary's in Grafton! Emma even wore one of her mommy's old crocheted sweaters from when she was a baby!

Spring is finally here!

During the past few weeks I have really be debating whether or not our little Emma Scarlet should take her pretty dresses out of the closet. Well, the weather finally got warmer than 50 Degrees---so we took them out. The thought of her wearing dresses everyday is really exciting--especially when it could mean that pretty soon we get to do something outside rather than just go for walks! We hope that all is well with everyone and can't wait to see family in the coming weeks!

Today was Emma's 4-month appointment at the Dr.'s Office! Dr. Hanson thinks that she is growing at just the right pace! Emma is now 12 pounds 4 ounces (21st percentile) and 24 1/2 inches long (51st percentile)! She is able to hold her head up and tries to sit up whenever possible. She also has been sleeping through the night for a few months now and rolls over from back to front and front to back! She also sits and stands when she is holding on to mommy or daddy's hands! She expends much of her energy trying to sit up when she is strapped into her carseat too! She has recently become very comfortable in her ExerSaucer too!

Emma has recently started truly teething. She chews on anything she can grab. We

have tried a pacifier, her fingers, our fingers, her rattle..... Her favorite thing by far is her fingers!! Sometimes it sounds like the is going to eat them right off!!

Elliot and I are falling more and more in love with our little lady and could not imagine our life without her! She brings happiness to our very new family! We thank God for her every day.

Because of the flood her baptism was postponed to Sunday, May 17th at Grafton Lutheran Church. RSVP info is the same!
